About the role
Terminal (BCT/BPT) Terminal Manager Exempt E Oversees the day‐to‐day vessel, gate, and container yard operations. Take appropriate action as necessary to optimize operations through maximizing production, efficiency, and safety with proper utilization of personnel and equipment. Responsibilities
- Supervise ILA Local 1351 and ILA Local 28 staff including managing performance, discipline, and recognition.
- Supervise and coordinate 24/7 road and terminal operations
- Responsible for setting up Vessel Operations plans, gather load back pads and find discharge pad locations.
- Direct the movement of port equipment and labor around the terminal to ensure road, vessel, and yard trucks are serviced in a timely manner.
