Duties And Responsibilities
- Embodies Eva’s Village’s core values, voice and tone in order to provide an exceptional and effective experience for our clients, funders, employees and volunteers.
- Build rapport and maintain professional boundaries with guests.
- Must be completely familiar with all rules of the program.
- Responsible for conducting intakes for clients seeking assistance at the Homeless HUB.
- Responsible for the completion of client discharges and all discharge procedures.
- Maintains the sign-in/sign-out sheets.
- Maintains activities log with meetings, van, etc.
- Maintains the communication book and electronic shift reports.
- Responsible for client data entry into the HMIS system.
- Answers the phone, relays calls and takes messages.
- Responsible for the security of the program.
- Monitor entrances/exits and control access to the facility.
- Conducts client searches at access control and removal of contraband.
- Responds to emergencies, including medical incidents, disturbances, or safety concerns.
- Documents all incidents concerning residents, security and facility maintenance.
- Arranges transportation of guests to meetings, hospitals, etc., and, if needed, may be asked to drive.
- Interacts with residents, referring their problems to the proper person resulting in the resident getting the assistance they need.
- Communicates important updates during shift change or conclusion of Hub operating hours.
- Attends mandatory monthly in-service and staff meetings.
- Oversees ongoing maintenance and general cleanliness of the facility.
- Reports all breakdowns and wear and tear to the maintenance department via work orders.
- Performs daily inspections of the facility including common areas, bathrooms, and unutilized areas.
- Performs crisis intervention when necessary.
- Responsible for all office supplies and ordering when necessary.
- Monitors and updates facility binders.
- Collaborates with case managers and external agencies to assist in meeting the needs of guests.
- Supports program goals related to housing placement and service engagement.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to operate with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Must supervise residents in a fair and diplomatic manner.
- Must possess conflict resolution skills.
