Operations Specialist - Corporate Actions & Reorganizations Schedule: Hybrid (In-Office/Remote) Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM (40 hours/week) Duration: 6-month contract with possibility of extension Position Summary We are seeking an Operations Specialist to support corporate actions and securities processing activities within a financial services environment. This role focuses on processing transactions, managing client instructions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the accurate and timely execution of corporate action events.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Review and process corporate action announcements from market data vendors, depositories, and other sources. Enter and maintain corporate action information, including income and mandatory events, within internal systems. Process client instructions, agent confirmations, and corporate action payments. Monitor and communicate outstanding client instructions and positions. Reconcile securities positions, receivables, and payables to ensure accuracy. Identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and escalate complex events when necessary. Support the processing of class action claims and client account requests. Communicate with clients and internal teams to resolve inquiries and ensure timely processing. Maintain accurate records and meet daily operational deadlines. Collaborate with team members to provide high-quality client service. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems. Ability to process transactions accurately and efficiently. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and escalate issues. Comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in financial services, banking, or investment operations. Familiarity with corporate actions, securities processing, or reconciliations. Experience working with financial transactions or operational processing systems.
