Operations Specialist

Requirements

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding order status, delivery schedules, product availability, and related questions or concerns.
• Provide responsive, professional customer service and support by following up on requests, resolving issues, and communicating updates clearly.
• Manage order management activities, including order entry support, tracking, delivery coordination, scheduling, and status updates.
• Cook with sales, purchasing, operations, warehouse, and vendor teams to help ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
• Partner with the Purchasing department to obtain updated vendor delivery information and provide customers with accurate and reliable order statuses.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and system updates related to orders, customer communication, and delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in order management, operations support, project coordination, customer service, business administration, or a related role.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple requests, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide clear updates to customers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when entering, tracking, and updating order information.
• Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, purchasing, warehouse, operations, and external partners.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and related productivity tools.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges, follow through on issues, and support effective resolutions.

Knowledge, Skills And Competencies

• Experience using ERP systems or order management software; NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Experience in Intelligent Transportation Systems, traffic management, construction supply, distribution, or related industry.
• Familiarity with vendor coordination, shipping timelines, delivery scheduling, or inventory-related communication.
• Customer Service Orientation, Attention to detail, Follow-through and accountability, Problem solving and prioritization, Team collaboration, Clear and professional communication.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands repetitively.
• Occasionally lift up to 35 lbs.
• May require bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Combination of office and manufacturing floor environment.

Salary Range

Salary Range: $55,000 - $62,000
