Operations Specialist
Job Description
Aid Account Managers in managing carrier relationships and selections.
Negotiate rates and schedule shipments using HERO software for tracking and management.
Maintain communication with carriers for seamless deliveries.
Assess carrier performance for future shipments.
Interact with clients, carriers, and shippers to resolve issues.
Track changing rates and select the most advantageous deals.
Handle in-transit problems and ensure timely deliveries.
Document shipment costs and enter/update information in software.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- One to two years of experience in freight brokerage or logistics preferred.
Skills Needed
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Motivated and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Quick learner and adept at solving problems.
