Operations Scientist II

Responsibilities

• Conduct bioanalytical sample preparations
• Document work and maintain study documentation and laboratory records
• Communicate with project managers, lead scientists, and supervisor on projects daily/weekly
• Order consumables for projects as needed
• Plan assigned workload on a daily basis and effectively schedule multiple assignments
• Provide detailed sample analysis and inventory updates to project managers and lead scientists to ensure projects meet agreed upon timelines
• Set up, operate and perform routine and non-routine maintenance on general equipment
• Attend and participate in project meetings
• Support process improvement initiatives
• Maintain a clean and safe laboratory work environment
• Participate in client visits as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science/Arts (BS/BA) degree in chemistry, biology or laboratory science degree
• 1 year or more experience working in a laboratory setting (e.g. balances, pipettes, centrifuges etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science/Arts (BS/BA) degree in chemistry, biology or any laboratory science degree
• 2 years or more experience working in a laboratory setting (e.g. balances, pipettes, centrifuges etc.)
• 2 years or more experience with analytical instrumentation (for gas, liquids or solids)
• 1 year or more GxP Documentation experience
• Computer Experience (e.g., Word, Excel) or LIMS

• Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
• Experience working in a variety of study types, analysis procedures and methodology projects

Pay

Pay Range: $25–$28 per hour. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
