About the role
Support complex wargaming events and operational analysis as an Operations Research Systems Analyst (ORSA).
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute wargames and tabletop exercises aligned with strategic objectives.
- Apply operations research, statistical analysis, and mathematical modeling to evaluate outcomes and concepts.
- Collaborate with military planners and stakeholders to define scenarios and evaluation metrics.
- Collect and analyze data from wargames to identify trends and capability gaps.
- Prepare reports, briefings, and presentations to communicate findings to leadership.
- Support the integration of modeling and simulation tools to improve realism and analytical rigor.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of remaining stationary for extended periods.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Data Science, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or 10 years of experience without a degree.
- Proficiency in statistical software and data visualization tools (e.g., Python, R, Tableau, Excel).
- Strong understanding of Marine Corps structure, doctrine, and future force concepts.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
Skills
- Master's degree in Operations Research or related field (preferred).
- Experience designing evaluation frameworks and data collection plans.
- Familiarity with defense combat modeling and simulations.
- Prior military service, especially within the Marine Corps, with operational planning experience (preferred).
