About the role

The Operations/Research Analyst, Journeyman supports the task order for US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), C5ISR Center, and ESI Directorate. This role involves providing comprehensive research and analysis support, performing professional and scientific work, and supporting program reviews and meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Performs cost estimating expertise for all personnel on matters pertaining to the development, availability, and application of cost analysis methodology.
  • Develops and reviews program office estimates (POEs).
  • Provides guidance and reviews of Government Cost Estimates.
  • Conducts cost studies to facilitate the development of acquisition documentation for all aspects of lifecycle management.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in Army and Department of Defense cost-saving efforts.
  • Prepares miscellaneous cost reports for senior level management.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience and/or an AS/AA or 2-year Tech School degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 10 years of military experience at the rank of E5 or higher, with knowledge of Department of Defense cost policies and component policies.
  • TS/SCI clearance required.

Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable with Department of Defense cost policies (e.g., DoDI 5000.73) as well as component policies (e.g., Department of the Army’s Cost Analysis Manual).

Skills

  • Proficiency in mathematical and statistical modeling.
  • Ability to adapt scientific methods to operational problem analysis.
  • Expertise in cost analysis methodologies.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Pay

$96,300 - $118,089

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
