About the Role

As an Operations Project Manager, you will lead cross-functional New Products Introduction (NPI) teams driving transformative programs with top-tier talent. You will own scope, schedule, cost, and change management. You will drive operational readiness, product quality, and manufacturing excellence across global teams, with opportunities to grow into a Program Manager role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead NPI Projects: Collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain, Volume Manufacturing, and Contract Manufacturing partners to guide products from concept through prototyping, pilot builds, and into high-volume production.
  • Project Planning & Control: Develop detailed project plans (scope, WBS, schedule, cost, risks), track progress, manage trade-offs, and support timely, informed choices.
  • Risk Management: Identify opportunities and risks, partner with SMEs to develop actionable plans to address them, and escalate issues when necessary.
  • DFx & Production Transfer Readiness: Proactively partner with DFx teams across compliance/safety, quality, manufacturing, test, assembly, and cost throughout development to ensure issues are resolved promptly.
  • Prototype/Pilot Builds: Oversee prototype and pilot builds. Manage product transfer to Contract Manufacturing partners.
  • Communication: Deliver clear, concise, and relevant project updates to stakeholders at all levels; influence effectively without formal authority.
  • Phase Gate Reviews: Lead readiness assessments, review deliverables, and document lessons learned.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering required; MS/MBA preferred. PMP certification strongly desired.
  • 8+ years of Project Management directing complex technical programs; demonstrates strong business acumen and deep professional expertise.
  • Advanced proficiency in risk management, schedule development, critical path analysis evaluation, resource planning, and cost control.
  • Broad, hands-on experience across project management disciplines with the ability to integrate cross-functional interdependencies.
  • Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and DFx is a plus.
  • Operates independently on complex, ambiguous problems requiring judgment across variable factors.
  • Defines methods and approaches for new assignments; frequently advises others on complex matters.
  • Builds influence beyond immediate expertise; effectively persuades diverse, senior, and cross-functional audiences.
  • Deep expertise in at least one major discipline (Engineering, Operations, Applications, or Marketing) leveraged to drive complex, cross-functional initiatives at an advanced PM level.
  • Outcome-driven self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and delivers transformational, business-level impact.
  • Comfortable leading global, multi-site teams and influencing across matrixed organizations.
  • Aligns diverse stakeholders to drive high-impact, enterprise-level initiatives.
  • Applies rigorous evaluation and judgment to complex situations; adapts advanced techniques as needed.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communicator; synthesizes complex topics clearly for broad business audiences.
  • Semiconductor and/or ATE industry experience; familiarity with the Teradyne product portfolio preferred.

This is an on-site employment opportunity.

Pay

The base salary range for this role is $140,500–$224,800. This range is a good-faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
