About the role

The Operations Management Trainee (OMT) is an 18-month structured and comprehensive training program designed to develop leadership and operational knowledge. This position involves working collaboratively with different teams to gain insights into business processes, strategies, and customer retention, while focusing on operational excellence and metrics. You will utilize problem-solving abilities to help make sound business decisions. With support, mentorship, and training from managers and team members—along with a willingness to relocate—you will be prepared to advance in a successful career. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate to start their career with a stable, Fortune 500 company.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer relationship activities by providing quality customer interface, proactive customer management, issue resolution, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with the rental department to maximize utilization without compromising lease customers.
  • Partner with Sales staff on customer calls for new business and increased customer satisfaction.
  • Manage running costs and maintenance overheads while ensuring policy and process compliance to optimize efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales, and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure accurate preventive maintenance (PM) scheduling, follow-up on breakdowns, and vehicle status updates; oversee Technician work planning for efficiency, training, and flexibility.
  • Relocation within the business unit at the conclusion of the training program is required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Required).
  • 1 year or more in customer service with issue resolution experience (Preferred).
  • Strong PC knowledge/skills, including advanced spreadsheet and word processing software (Required).
  • Basic understanding of business finance, controls, and metrics (Beginner level, Required).

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Pay

Paid weekly. The compensation offered may be influenced by relevant experience, education, certifications, work location, market data, internal equity, and other factors. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on role level and type.
