The Operations Manager/Team Leader at Gesa Credit Union supervises the day-to-day operations of the Operations Support Department, advocating for the department's needs and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. They set strategic plans aligned with the credit union's business objectives, collaborate with internal partners, and maintain a focus on employee development and training.
What You Will Be Doing
- Set strategic plans for the Operations department to align with the credit union's business plan.
- Establish and implement target goals for the department.
- Oversee daily operations of the multi-location Operations Support Center (OSC) by ensuring SLAs are met.
- Collaborate with internal business partners to advocate for the OSC's requirements.
- Communicate credit union goals and direction to all employees in the department.
- Ensure performance standards are developed and monitored, providing mentoring, coaching, and training.
- Create the budget for the department and track adherence.
- Handle complex escalated member calls and help resolve complex questions.
- Manage the Treasury Management team, provide support, and recommend training opportunities.
- Support new products and services offered by branches and departments, participating in testing.
- Create ACH and other risk level processing reports for executive management and credit union audits.
- Maintain thorough understanding of other departments within the credit union.
- Maintain oversight of General Ledger balances and Deposit Operations.
- Maintain awareness of industry changes and trends in Deposit Operations.
- Perform audits on all functions, oversee quality monitoring, and record keeping.
- Recommend promotions/transfers and salary adjustments.
- Lead Operations Assistance Manager/Team Leader and Senior Operations Representatives to develop their leadership skills.
- Collaborate with the Operations leadership team to enhance the department and team building.
- Perform other related duties as necessary to ensure the success of the Operations department.

- Possesses ability to analyze information and make sound decisions.
- Learns and develops themselves to better support the growth of team members and the organization.
Qualifications
- Three (3) to five (5) years of similar or related experience in a credit union environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years management/supervisory experience preferred.
- Specialized certifications in applicable areas such as AAP, NCP, Deposit Compliance preferred.
- Some travel may be required to fulfill duties, career development, and responsibilities.
Full Salary Range
$80,168.40 - $119,957.52
