Major Areas of Focus
The Operations Manager (OPM) is responsible for directing operations, managing teams, and ensuring efficient service delivery. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the OPM oversees all aspects of service center operations, including fleet management, purchasing, and client relations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Keeps master scheduling tools updated and provides operational schedules to account executives and production managers.
- Manages fleet needs against production requirements and communicates these needs to the Director of Operations.
- Manages designated Fleet Supervisor and all repair and maintenance needs of assigned fleet.
- Manages fleet inventory systems and designated 5s Leader.
- Manages all Field Supervisors and Production Managers, creating incident reports and compiling information per policy.
- Drives ECF Egress and Egress standards.
- Manages job budget of hours and materials, approving expense reports and payroll.
- Supports sales team with proactive communication and updates.
- Oversees purchasing for materials, sub-contractors, and fleet repair and maintenance needs.
- Coordinates with project clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Participates in customer service-related activities.
- Recruits, hires, and develops team members, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Manages uniforms and equipment for subordinates.
- Sales & Quality Assurance Support: assists in estimating processes, proposal development, and post-sale quality control.
- Ensures adherence to corporate standards of professional image, conducts training, and maintains safety standards.
- Supports AR matters if directed by the Director of Operations.
Financial
- Purchases goods, services, and materials within the job budget, with approvals from the Director of Operations.
- Manages job budget of hours and materials, coordinating with Production Managers and Field Supervisors.
- Approves expense reports and payroll for subordinates.
- Approves purchasing requisitions for subordinates.
Client Management
- Coordinates with project clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Participates in customer service-related activities.
Human Resources
- Recruits, hires, and develops team members.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and safety, quality, and excellence rules.
- Takes the lead in maintaining adequate staffing levels.
- Administers disciplinary protocols applicable to subordinates.
Sales & Quality Assurance
- Supports Account Executives and Project Managers with estimating processes and proposal development.
- Manages post-sale quality control and warranty programs.
Image Control
- Ensures assigned fleet, personnel uniforms, grooming, facility cleanliness, and job sites meet corporate standards.
- Conducts etiquette, behavior, and professional standards training for subordinates.
- Maintains safety standards during working hours, at job sites, in public places, in transit, and at branch facilities.

Physical Demands

Work Environment
- Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions.

Travel & Development
The employee may be required to travel throughout the market served by the Allentown Service Center for training and urgent response purposes.
Security
- Must pass security background checks.
- Required to have and hold a valid driver’s license without traffic violations or accidents.
