Operations Manager (Santa Fe Springs Facility)

About the role

Facility Operations Managers ensure the safe, efficient, and effective operations of in our blending facilities. They provide direct management of facility employees and are accountable for fostering a team environment through effective and appropriate communication. They are responsible for maintaining all standards in accordance with safety, quality, inventory, and productivity levels as well as providing leadership to meet facility goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee blending operations
• Implement operational policies and procedures
• Ensure effective and safe use of equipment
• Meet production goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to store employees
• Manage facility inventory levels and conduct physical inventory reviews on a regular basis
• Create schedules and monitor staffing
• Lead facility’s blend management and production planning efforts
• Manage employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action
• Conduct regular communication meetings with workforce
• Assist in placing and following up on purchases from outside vendors per established policy
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9002 guidelines and requirements
• Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects
• Avoid daily bank deposits

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
• Must have at least one (1) year of work experience in manufacturing, distribution, or retail operations or have completed a Sherwin-Williams Development Program

Preferred Qualifications

• At least two (2) years of work experience in manufacturing, distribution, or retail operations
• At least one (1) year of experience in leadership role(s), supervising others, or leading teams
• At least one (1) year of work experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and/or Outlook)
• A bachelor's degree or higher in Sales, Marketing, Management, Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or Engineering
• Previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
• Work experience using timekeeping and/or customer relationship management (“CRM”) systems
• Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities
