About the role

As an Operations Manager (Operations Manager II) at DHL Supply Chain, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouses. Your responsibilities go beyond daily management—you will be instrumental in implementing processes to optimize warehouse operations. Your leadership will guide our team, foster a safe and productive work environment, and drive the overall success of DHL Supply Chain. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within a global leader in contract logistics, with over 500 facilities, 50,000 associates, and 150 million square feet of warehouse space.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of Supervisors and indirect reports by providing coaching, guidance, and support while fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging.
  • Develop and implement efficient workflows, labor plans, and standardized processes to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Uphold compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization.
  • Compile comprehensive reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as productivity and accuracy metrics, to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Foster open communication and collaboration among leadership and associates to promote transparency, alignment, and teamwork.
  • Partner with Human Resources and site leadership to ensure a comprehensive hiring process for Supervisors, providing input to select top talent aligned with organizational values and culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and prompt fulfillment of customer orders, exceeding expectations.
  • Engage in strong partnerships with customers, proactively addressing concerns to achieve exceptional satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
  • 1+ years of logistics industry experience (required).
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role (required).
  • Experience with P&L management, objective setting, and project management (preferred).

Pay

National salary range: $72,000 – $85,000. For roles within California, the range is $75,000 – $95,000, and in Washington, it is $80,169 – $95,000.

Schedule

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
