About the role
The Operations Manager Nights oversees the operational activities of various functional departments, distribution centers, or facilities. They monitor workflow, address bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency. They ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies across all night operations. Additionally, they coordinate with cross-functional departments to resolve issues and optimize resource allocation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage nightshift teams to meet operational goals and maintain high performance standards.
- Maintain workflow, address bottlenecks, and implement process improvements for greater efficiency.
- Evaluate current procedures and practices for accomplishing department objectives and develop/implement improved procedures and practices.
- Give work direction, resolve problems, and set deadlines to ensure timely completion of work.
- Monitor and analyze costs, prepare budgets, and prepare and review nightly reports, tracking KPIs and communicating progress to senior management.
Requirements
- Typically has 6+ years of professional experience and 0-2 years’ supervisory experience.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with a track record of managing shift-based teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and operations-related software.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Background in manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environments.
- Certification in Operations Management or related field.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and lead teams during night operations.
- Fluency in Spanish or other languages is a plus.
