Operations Manager - Machining Services
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support review and input needs of customer requested scopes of work
- Aid with all training programs and maintain all records up to date
- Aid in pre-job meetings requiring site visits
- Create shop and on-site job schedules
- Review and correct all job reports to customers
- Assign in-shop and on-site crews for awarded work scopes
- Conduct performance reviews for PM/PE and technicians
- Schedule and support any customer job requirements (e.g., drug testing, on-site training)
- Support assigned PM/PE and technicians with pre-job requirements
- Manage in-shop and on-site project schedules with PM/PE assistance
- Coordinate Machining Services needs with other divisions
- Manage emails, letters, packages, phone calls, and other correspondence
- Create and update databases and records, including personnel and other data
- Support and manage Machining Services procedures, including creation of new ones
- Aid with EWA’s in-shop and on-site activities to ensure meeting committed timeframes
- Support and assist colleagues as needed
- Aid in recruiting and training new employees
Requirements
- Meet all required background checks, pre-employment drug screenings, and other applicable assessments
- Hold an Associates degree in a relevant field, with a Bachelor's degree preferred
- Have at least 5+ years of machining experience in similar industries
- Have at least 5+ years of supervisory experience
- Be proficient with industry software and computer skills, such as Microsoft suite, CAD, and SolidWorks
- Show strong industry business and financial skills
- Show strong oral and written communication skills
- Show strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Be available to work operational hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility for travel

About the Role
Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC, a leading provider of power generation services, parts, and repairs, is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager for its Machining Services (MS) division within the Repairs Division. This role involves managing projects and project managers/engineers, supporting customer requests, and coordinating various aspects of the operation.
