Operations Manager II

About the role
The Sr. Operations Manager oversees all aspects of a supply chain operation, providing direction and leadership in performance, safety, P&L management, customer relations, continuous improvement, and associate development across multiple sites.
Responsibilities
- Direct distribution, packaging, and transportation operations to meet company objectives and customer expectations.
- Develop short- and long-term goals to align operations with organizational objectives.
- Oversee warehousing, distribution, packaging, and transportation to ensure compliance with company and customer requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance value, service, effectiveness, and profitability.
- Implement safety programs to protect associates, equipment, and property.
- Ensure compliance with company, customer, and government regulatory requirements.
- Manage budget and P&L for operations.
- Develop staffing plans, control labor costs, manage overtime, and improve retention.
- Analyze job standards, performance variances, root causes, and training needs to maximize quality and productivity.
- Collect and report performance metrics per customer, vendor, or site requirements.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports.
- Deliver a consistent, high-performance experience for associates and customers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced 3PL, distribution, warehouse, or transportation environment.
- P&L experience.
- High-volume e-commerce experience.
- Strong background in both inbound and outbound operations.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and reasoning skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and communication styles.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, databases, WMS, and metrics measurement tools.
- Strong presentation, writing, and speaking skills.
- Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen principles preferred.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience with ADP platforms (WorkForce Now, WorkForce Manager, ADPRM) helpful.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet operational needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a business-related field preferred.
- 3PL experience preferred.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, with occasional weekends or altered hours based on business needs.
Pay
Competitive annual salary of $100,000–$115,000 plus a performance-based bonus.
