Operations Manager - Fuel Facility
Role Purpose
The Operations Manager will lead operations at Charlotte Douglas International Airport Fuel Facility. This position is responsible for overall operations performance, operational excellence, emergency operations, and staff development. This role will accomplish the primary responsibility through individual contribution and by leading four shift supervisors.
What You Will Be Doing
- Ensure operational activities to include product movements, inspections, quality testing, and inventory data are performed to standard with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Enforce safe work practices and develop additional ones as needed.
- Verifies that all personnel are trained in procedures. This includes ensuring that personnel understand the reasons for tasks performed and how they fit into the overall operations plan.
- Create and update procedures on operational tasks as needed.
- Foster a positive culture of highly engaged individuals united towards growing knowledge and operations excellence.
- Perform audits on SOPs and cyclic tasks to ensure compliance.
- Schedule operations personnel to meet the needs of the facility and the airport.
- Lead root cause investigation and initiate corrective actions for issues.
- Oversee operational communications to include shift logs, shift handover briefings, regulatory operations paperwork, periodic operations performance reports, etc.
- Adhere to local, State, and Federal safety policies, and company rules and regulations. Ensures compliance of the same in others.
Pay
Starting at $105,000

What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University or equivalent experience
- 7+ years' experience leading teams in fuel facility operations at commercial or military airports or at midstream fuel terminals
- Sound understanding jet fuel quality characteristics and testing
- Must be able to comply with local airport, FAA and/or U.S. Customs safety, security, and identification requirements and pass a thorough security background check
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
