Operations Manager - Dothan, AL

About the role

Ruskin, a subsidiary of Air Distribution Technologies, Inc., is seeking an Operations Manager - Air Systems Components to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across the business segment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet production schedules and customer demand.
• Allocate and optimize resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to maximize efficiency and throughput.
• Drive performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost using Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
• Develop and execute operating plans, including process improvements and capital project initiatives.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment on operational priorities and objectives.
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration across departments and shifts.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve productivity, and enhance overall operational effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field, or an Associate's degree or H.S. Diploma with additional years of experience.
• 5+ years of progressive manufacturing operations experience, including leadership of multi-shift teams.
• Demonstrated success driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance in a plant environment.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to analyze operational data and translate insights into effective action plans.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.
• Preferred: Formal training in problem-solving, Lean, or operational excellence methodologies.
• Experience leading capital projects from concept through implementation.
• Familiarity with safety programs and regulatory compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels.
