About the role
The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning, management, and analysis of clinical practice operations, program development, information systems, human resources, and compliance within the Department. They serve as the primary advisor to the Executive Administrator and the Vice Chair(s) for Clinical Affairs and Quality on all clinical administrative matters.
Responsibilities
- Ensures timely and fiscally responsible execution of clinical and academic program development
- Partners with other senior members in the Department, in the School, in the Health Services Foundation, and in the UAB Health System to address clinical administrative issues
- Works independently to manage various tasks and duties
- Directs, controls, and plans their own work while accepting responsibility for its outcome
Requirements
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or a related field required
- Minimum of 5 years progressively responsible experience in a healthcare setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience
