Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Maintain facility operational documentation to include reports, licenses, procedures, order requirements, etc.
- Achieve production staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain staff by selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.
- Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
- Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change.
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Solve personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED, Associates or Bachelors preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of Facility Supervisory experience, Minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience – Welding, Fabrication, General Maintenance, Minimum of 5 years construction equipment operational knowledge of: Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Screeners, Truck Scale, Materials processing experience, Facility Asphalt/concrete/processing plant experience, Willingness and ability to wear company provided personal protection equipment including eye protection, steel toed shoes, hard hat, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator, Extremely organized and attention to detail required, Ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and/or coworkers, Ability to follow directions or instructions, Ability to use a computer to communicate, create, and access information, Labor relations / employee management experience
