Responsibilities
- Coincides with the day-to-day operations of the AMC Center.
- Aids in the development of partnerships for the AMC.
- Develops a monthly calendar of activities occurring in the AMC Center.
- Greets visitors of the AMC Center.
- Assists residents and organizations who wish to reserve the space for private events.
- Conducts orientations for new visitors.
- Coordinates the set-up of space (tables, chairs, collapsible walls).
- Ensures that the space is cleaned by users.
- Coordinates deposits and any fees associated with the use of the space.
- Develops a monthly calendar of activities occurring in the AMC and Innovation Center.
- Conducts outreach in diverse forms of communication with residents, including newsletters, flyers, telephone calls and door-knocking.
- Uses TCB's data collection system, CL Connect to document services provided to residents and outcomes achieved.
- Tracks and reports on progress using Power BI as required by partners and funders to fulfill grant and other commitments.
- Attends site-based team meetings at least twice a month.
- Refers residents to Property Management, Community Life and other organizations as needed.
- Coordinates and communicates with other Community Life staff at Mildred Hailey and Jackson Square area to ensure the best services for residents and community members.
- Participates in ongoing professional development, at least 12 hours per year that pertain to the position.
- Recruits and leads volunteers and interns to assist at the AMC Center.
Qualifications
- Experience working in human services, customer service, or similar field with families of diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of the Boston social resources.
- Understanding of concepts relating to community engagement, public health, trauma-informed care and other social determinants of health.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to collect, track and understand data to assess programs and partnerships and inform strategies.
- Operate in a timely manner, with consistency and a high level of integrity and professionalism, provide excellent customer service to all visitors of the AMC Center.
- Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving and writing skills.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local policies affecting housing is a plus.
- Ability to work some weekends and evenings is required.
- Bilingual Spanish speaker strongly preferred.
