Key Objectives
- Improve the efficiency and productivity of branch material movement and order processing – focusing on the throughput capability of KNAPP and headcount/labor plan to reduce operating expense and increase performance through data collection, analysis, continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Manage and Implement process improvements within the Customer Service organization – specifically operations, process flow, inventory, productivity, and finance. To improve efficiency and productivity through analysis, continuous improvement – Lean/Six Sigma methodology.
- Build relationships with internal customers, such as the Sales, and Customer Care Organizations to ensure process efficiency.
- Extreme focus on meeting Customer deadlines while frequently resolving difficult issues relating to product movement and order processing to develop relationships and collaborating with stakeholders by participating on conference calls, attending meetings, PC Tributes, Sales Conference.
- Analyze preventative maintenance efficiency and develop related processes to reduce downtime of equipment and impact on productivity.
- Define and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) i.e. cartons per hour to measure and monitor performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures related to operating processes to sustain processes and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline; equivalent work experience may be substituted.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a direct sales company and/or distribution/manufacturing environment within a process driven organization.
- Four years of management experience.
- Excellent presentation skills; interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in project/process management, cost management, continuous improvement, and quality control highly desired.
- Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), with experience in Manhattan Associates WMS preferred.
- Experience with Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), preferably KNAPP WCS.
