About the role
You will drive short-to-mid-term strategic objectives while managing the P&L for production, maintenance, customer service, and supply chain. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will maximize process effectiveness, readiness, synergies, and standardization to ensure high-level efficiency, minimize costs, and align with applicable standards, regulations, global manufacturing practices, and corporate/local procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operations Management (Production, Maintenance, Customer Service, Supply Chain): Lead assigned functions, set goals for costs, time, and quality, and manage resources, systems, and processes. Deliver results in line with requirements, service levels, standards, targets, regulations, and procedures. Define and monitor production plans for time, volumes, mix, quality, and costs. Provide technical resolutions to reduce complaints, improve services, and fulfill sales demand. Collaborate with Quality, Tooling, Sales, and Program Management to support processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Operations Strategy Execution: Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans. Ensure effective process execution, business continuity, and compliance with ISO standards, regulations, and procedures. Foster a continuous improvement mindset and process harmonization. Oversee corrective and preventive actions in compliance with applicable standards and requirements.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Define benchmarks and KPIs for performance, and identify critical issues for corrective and preventive measures.
- Budget Management: Manage and propose budgets, including industrial equipment CAPEX. Ensure fulfillment of COGS and CAPEX targets, and oversee economic and financial performance in line with assigned budgets.
- People Management: Plan, organize, manage, coach, and develop assigned staff. Ensure effective talent management, career path development, and training.
Requirements
- Engineering Degree (Bachelor/Master) or equivalent.
- Over 10 years of experience in Operations Management and/or Technical Management within the plastic sector, specifically in injection molding technologies. Experience should span from initial idea to mass production, including program management and product development for advanced components, drug delivery, and dosing systems.
Skills
- Knowledge of product and production processes and techniques.
- Expertise in Continuous Improvement management, including Lean Management and Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
- Proficiency in data analysis and operational performance metrics (KPIs).
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., IQMS) and relevant process tools.
- Familiarity with applicable standards such as ISO (9001, 13485), cGMP, FDA, CFR, and OHSAS.
