About the role
This Operations Manager will strengthen day-to-day business performance across a multi-division organization, guide cross-functional teams, bring greater consistency to operating practices, and help ensure departments work together effectively to meet customer and business goals. The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing hands-on oversight with process improvement initiatives in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily operational activity across multiple connected business units to ensure alignment, efficiency, and dependable execution.
- Provide direction and support to office-based teams, including logistics coordination, estimating, customer support, sales operations, and administrative functions.
- Collaborate with warehouse and production leadership to improve inventory flow, shipping, receiving, and overall operational readiness.
- Establish and maintain clear operating procedures that drive consistency, accountability, and stronger performance across departments.
- Evaluate existing workflows, identify process gaps, and implement practical improvements that remove delays and increase productivity.
- Keep projects, deliveries, and service commitments on track by monitoring priorities, timelines, and cross-team coordination.
- Reinforce performance expectations through active leadership, coaching, and follow-through while encouraging a cooperative work environment.
- Strengthen communication between office staff, warehouse teams, installation crews, and manufacturing operations to support smooth execution.
- Review operational data and performance indicators to identify trends and recommend ongoing improvements that support growth.
- Partner with company leadership on planning, organizational development, and operational strategies that prepare the business for future expansion.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in operations leadership, business management, or a similar role with broad operational responsibility.
- Background overseeing multiple functions within manufacturing, distribution, transportation, logistics, construction, or a related industry.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and enforce processes, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Strong leadership skills with experience building accountability and improving team performance across departments.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with sound business judgment.
- Ability to manage strategic priorities while remaining closely involved in daily operational execution.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work successfully with employees and leaders at all levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general business systems; experience with inventory or warehouse-related software is a plus.
Pay
$70,000 – $90,000 annually depending on experience.
