Operations Manager

Position Summary

The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing, directing, and coordinating manufacturing operations for the Carson City facility. This facility operates in a fast-paced, high-volume, and high-mix manufacturing environment. The manager must ensure the achievement of production requirements, quality and reliability standards, and on-time delivery at the lowest cost. These objectives will be achieved by collaborating with Engineering, Quality, Human Resources, and Information Systems, and by motivating the production workforce. The role is responsible for delivering results through Lean Manufacturing techniques, 6S, TOC, Six Sigma, and problem-solving.

Essential Functions

• Manage, direct, and coordinate manufacturing operations for the Carson City facility.
• Ensure achievement of production requirements, quality and reliability standards, and on-time delivery at the lowest cost.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Human Resources, and Information Systems.
• Motivate the production workforce.
• Deliver results through Lean Manufacturing techniques, 6S, TOC, Six Sigma, and problem-solving.

Experience & Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing operations management.
• Experience in high-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments preferred.

Physical Demands

• Standing for extended periods.
• Walking and moving between work areas.
• Use of hands and arms to operate machinery and tools.
• May require lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
