Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level support to the Chair and Assistant Chair.
- Track the departmental budget, handle purchasing, contracts, and invoices, and manage student employees.
- Oversee newsletters, webpage updates, and social media.
- Serve as the friendly initial point of contact for student inquiries regarding degrees and minors.
- Aid in academic scheduling and guide faculty to campus resources.
- Offer operational support during peak cycles like registration and graduation.
- Plan and execute workshops and guest speaker series, coordinating logistics including travel and venue reservations, and collaborating with production staff for A/V execution.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, arts management, higher education, or a related field, with at least three years of experience in a fast-paced administrative or office management role.
- Exceptional multitasking and communication skills, a tech-savvy approach (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and modern project management tools), and a knack for anticipating needs and solving problems independently.
- Prior experience in higher education, arts administration, or the music industry, as well as familiarity with Workday, Colleague, or Mailchimp, are considered a plus.

Hiring Range
$60,000 - $82,000; salary dependent on relevant experience and education.
