About the role

DK Security is Michigan’s fastest-growing security company, established in 1995. We provide leadership and management for our contract and temporary security contracts in assigned regions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a flexible work schedule, some light travel, and working in the field. Operations Managers report directly to our Director of Operations and oversee Site Supervisors and Security Officers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee relationships between client contacts and assigned assistant operations managers.
  • Ensure Supervisors complete the required number of site visits and outfit employees appropriately.
  • Maintain positive relationships between Supervisors and employees.
  • Complete performance-based written appraisals of subordinates based on published Post Orders.
  • Implement progressive disciplinary actions for subordinate violations.
  • Work in a billable capacity to maintain client relations.
  • Ensure employee training compliance.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources to recruit and deploy high-quality staff.
  • Oversee all temporary assignments in your designated region.
  • Manage overtime, payroll, and site visits.
  • Participate in scheduled staff meetings.
  • Maintain site equipment, uniforms, and incident reports.
  • Be available on-call to receive calls from subordinates.
  • Support business development initiatives and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Must be of good moral character with no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions for criminal/sexual conduct, theft, assault, or crimes of moral turpitude.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related field (preferably with a concentration in Security Management) is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a security manager or above in government or corporate service is highly desirable.
  • Must have (or be willing to obtain) a Concealed Pistols License (CPL).
  • Impeccable grooming and professional appearance.
  • Above-average customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL) and LEOSA Credential required.

Supervisory experience in the security industry is highly preferred. Internal candidates with active disciplinary actions will not be considered.

Pay

Starting at $47,000 salaried, including site pay for any billable coverage beyond normal working hours (8:30 AM to 5 PM).

Schedule

1st Shift, Monday–Friday (shift times may vary to fit business needs). 40+ hours per week (full-time). Flexible availability required.
