The Company is an industry leader in the distribution, installation, maintenance, and repair of a complete range of commercial, industrial, and residential door, docking and security products. DH Pace Company, Inc. in Harlingen, TX, aspires to hire an Operations Manager who will actively manage our Commercial Operations Department.

Responsibilities

As the Operations Manager, you will manage the Harlingen commercial installation and/or service departments which perform commercial work in the Harlingen Metropolitan area. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and overseeing commercial operations and personnel associated with efficiently, effectively, safely, and profitably managing operations
  • Managing and improving operational processes and procedures with the objective of providing maximum profit and return with an emphasis on customer satisfaction and return business
  • Effectively managing operations to ensure sold jobs are timely scheduled and skillfully performed to achieve divisional budgeted sales and gross profit objectives
  • Collaborating to ensure operating budgets and sales goals align and are on track monthly
  • Delivering Profit Dollars and the return on sales that meets or exceeds the yearly financial budget/forecast
  • Establishing objectives and action plans and ensuring all are consistent with corporate objectives
  • Hiring, training and developing new employees; improving individual performance through daily coaching, project outcomes, Scorecard reviews, and performance reviews
  • Effectively leading meetings, setting performance expectations and holding employees accountable
  • Communicating with customers directly to solicit feedback, solve problems and/or learn of new sales opportunities

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree is preferred with a minimum 2 years’ performance as Department Manager, Operations Manager and/or Project Manager in the Service Provider industry with familiarity and knowledge of construction project management and installation of building materials. The ideal candidate will possess an ability for technical applications, mechanical/electrical systems and problem solving, and enjoy a high level of activity in a hands-on environment where there is an emphasis on meeting deadlines and providing unmatched customer service.
