About the role
D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., is seeking an Operations Manager for their Operations Department. This position oversees purchasing, estimating, design, and permitting departments, develops manufacturing operations business plans, and manages production and quality control.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Purchasing, Estimating, Design, and Permitting Departments
- Develop and Maintain Manufacturing Operations Business Plans
- Establish Production and Quality Control Standards
- Provide Guidance to Development of a Manufacturing Process Plan
- Train and Ensure Compliance with Company Policies
- Conduct Operational and Maintenance Problem Resolution
- Review Production and Operating Reports
- Directly Supervise Two or More Subordinate Supervisors
- Plan, Assign, and Direct Work
- Appraise Performance, Reward, and Discipline Employees
- Address Complaints and Resolve Problems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
- Seven to Ten years related experience and/or training
- Valid driver's license and vehicle
- Estimating/budgeting/AS400 spreadsheet skills required
- Proficiency with MS Office and email
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to Multi-task and Attention to Detail

- Ability to Accurately and Efficiently Process and Record Large Volumes of Data
- Ability to Apply Common Sense Understanding to Carry Out Instructions
