Operations Manager

Summary

Oversee agronomy operations at the Milton location, with additional support responsibilities for grain operations and fuel island activity.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to Milton agronomy employees, including work assignments, coaching, training, and day-to-day supervision.
• Manage daily agronomy operations to ensure customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service while supporting operational efficiency and business objectives.
• Serve as a working supervisor during busy seasons, assisting employees with operational tasks and helping maintain workflow during peak demand.
• Support grain operations as needed, including filling in during staffing shortages and assisting with grain-related activities.
• Absorb responsibility for unloading fertilizer trains and coordinating fertilizer handling, movement, and inventory needs.
• Oversee fuel island operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant service and facility performance.
• Cook up labor, equipment, inventory, and operational priorities to support agronomy service needs during normal and peak business periods.
• Maintain effective communication with employees, customers, location leadership, and support teams to ensure alignment on daily priorities and service expectations.
• Support a strong safety culture by following company safety policies, working with the on-site safety supervisor, and helping identify or address unsafe actions or conditions.
• Apply grain or agronomy experience and supervisory skills to lead employees, solve operational issues, and support overall location performance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 4+ years of experience in Operations and/or Business Operations
• Prior leadership experience with progressively advancing level of leadership responsibilities

Additional Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Previous Agribusiness/Location management or Grain Sales experience preferred
• Ability to motivate and lead team members
