Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily food manufacturing operations across all shifts.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and SQF food safety standards at all times.
- Plan and manage shift scheduling, staffing, and labor resources based on production demands.
- Oversee inventory management to ensure materials are available and aligned with production schedules.
- Partner with the maintenance team to support preventive maintenance and reduce equipment downtime.
- Motivate and supervise hourly production staff, fostering a high-performance, safety-focused culture.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and optimize efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality Assurance, Planning, Sanitation, HR, and Logistics.
- Maintain accurate production reports, labor records, and compliance documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Production Manager role within food manufacturing (required)
- Demonstrated success managing hourly shift teams in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong understanding of food safety programs (GMP, HACCP, SQF)
- Proficiency in inventory planning, shift scheduling, and labor optimization
- Experience in implementing lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes
- Working knowledge of ERP or production software; strong Microsoft Office skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent hands-on manufacturing leadership experience

- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday with flexibility for weekends and extended hours
