About the role
The Operations Manager position plays a crucial role in coordinating warehouse operations, supporting purchasing and sales, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Selects, develops, and motivates assigned warehouse personnel
- Motivate and encourage teamwork to ensure set productivity targets are met
- Conduct a daily safety walk-through to ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and safe
- Enforce company policies of conduct and safety, and initiate disciplinary action as needed
- Conduct monthly safety meetings and quarterly driver safety meetings
- Ensure inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts and implement a bin location system
- Identify and correct product losses, and manage costs through personnel productivity and storage space utilization
- Avoid delays in loading trucks by managing dock and warehouse layout, and monitor shipping to ensure accurate and timely deliveries
- Manage PeopleNet computer system to monitor driver's hours of service and on-duty time, ensuring compliance with Federal DOT regulations
- Plan material transportation requirements and organize delivery routes to optimize efficiency and profitability
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Prefer 2 years prior experience in a supervisory position
- Minimum of 3 years of forklift experience
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass drug test and background verification
- Authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship for any length of time
- At least 18 years of age

- Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
- Static Strength - The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects
- Arm-Hand Steadiness - The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position
- Manual Dexterity - The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects
