About the role
The Operations Manager will anchor the daily operations of the Music Business/Management Department at Berklee College of Music, supporting the department's mission to shape the future leaders of the entertainment industry.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level support to the Chair and Assistant Chair.
- Track the departmental budget, handle purchasing, contracts, and invoices, and manage student employees.
- Oversight of newsletters, webpage updates, and social media.
- Serve as the friendly initial point of contact for student inquiries regarding degrees and minors.
- Aid in academic scheduling and guide faculty to campus resources.
- Operate as the primary point of contact for events and special projects, including planning and executing workshops and guest speaker series.
- Coordinate logistics for events, such as travel and venue reservations, and partner with production staff for A/V execution.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, arts management, higher education, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in a fast-paced administrative or office management role.
Qualifications
- Exceptional multitasking and communication skills.
- A tech-savvy approach (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and modern project management tools).
- A knack for anticipating needs and solving problems independently.
Skills
- Experience in higher education, arts administration, or the music industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with Workday, Colleague, or Mailchimp is a plus.

Pay
Hiring Range: $60,000 - $82,000; salary dependent on relevant experience and education.
