Operations Manager - A/E/C Industry

General Responsibilities

Terracon’s Lexington office is seeking an Operations Manager to lead their office. In this opportunity, your leadership will shape projects; environmental, geotechnical, materials testing, and laboratory teams; and long-term business growth within the Central and Eastern Kentucky Region. Essential Roles And Responsibilities

• Oversee a growing office supporting multiple service lines.
• Focus will be directed to management of specific projects, quality, and employee utilization.
• Review contracts and proposals prepared by office personnel.
• Monitor job status reports and ensure quality standards are met.
• Cook with divisional marketing to maintain client contacts in CRM for future development of new business.
• Manage risk related to projects. Ensure contracts are signed and fully executed before commencing work.
• Monitor adherence to corporate risk policies and practices. Hold Managers accountable for mitigating or eliminating risk.
• Communicate safety initiatives, rules, and guidelines for Office or Region. Hold Managers and Employees accountable for following safety rules and guidelines.
• Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Ensure best practices are being followed and hold Managers accountable for quality control standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years’ practice experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 12 years’ related experience.
• Prior management experience preferred.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
• Kentucky Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
