Operations Manager (2nd Shift)
About the role
The Night Operations Manager will lead the operations and logistics team at Collectors' Jersey City, NJ headquarters. They will oversee the processing of thousands of unique SKUs annually, scaling up to tens of thousands, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, throughput, and service KPIs are met. The role involves driving improvements in efficiency and quality, fostering a sense of ownership and urgency, and collaborating with various departments.
Responsibilities
- Lead operations and logistics, ensuring quality and throughput without reducing standards
- Own/deliver on Safety, Quality, Productivity, Throughput, and service KPIs
- Drive additional improvement in throughput, efficiency, and quality through a CPI mindset and approach
- Instill a sense of urgency, pride of workplace, and ownership mindset within the team
- Work cross-functionally with people team to enhance staff skills and create a rewarding, fulfilling work environment
- Work cross-functionally to mitigate risk from safety, security, and insurance perspectives
- Work closely with tech organization to implement new and improve existing tech solutions
- Lead by example and champion company policies
Requirements
10+ years of proven operational and leadership experience in operations, logistics, quality, and customer service roles in light manufacturing, warehousing, or fulfillment centers. Proven track record of designing and implementing processes to drive consistency, increase speed, and quality of customer care delivery at scale. Ability to translate annual priorities and objectives into a local operating plan focusing on streamlining product delivery and turnaround times, as well as increasing product quality standards. Collaborative and reliable leader with a data-driven approach to problem-solving and a strong process focus for continuous improvement. Experience with change management, inheriting teams, and moving with urgency.

- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
- Experience: 10+ years of operational and leadership experience
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge: Familiarity with warehouse management systems and supply chain best practices
