About the role
The Operations Maintenance Technician plans, coordinates, and executes routine preventive maintenance, diagnoses mechanical/electrical problems, and determines corrective actions for unscheduled maintenance or repairs.
Responsibilities
- Performs preventative maintenance following established work instructions.
- Maintains all required fluids and lubrication by monitoring, per manufacturers' best practices.
- Monitors inventory of spare components and machine consumables.
- Records and analyzes data; maintains preventative and unscheduled maintenance records for equipment.
- Troubleshoots and repairs failures; disassembles to remove and replace parts.
- Interprets machine operation manuals and identifies problem sources.
- Supports training of Level I technicians.
- Completes work orders, records, history logs, and other documents according to established procedures.
- Adheres to all safety rules and precautions to ensure the safety of self and others.
- Works with a team and individually.
- Performs other assigned activities that pertain to departmental goals or responsibilities.
Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience in a hands-on maintenance position in a production manufacturing environment or equivalent experience with mechanical/electro-mechanical equipment (e.g., maintenance specialist in military).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to communicate requirements to supervisors and independently complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Basic understanding of usage of hand/power tools.
- Ability to work overtime as needed in support of production operations.
- Demonstrated effective analytical troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis skills.
- General knowledge of maintenance and repair of production equipment.
- Experience with electrical and mechanical repair of production machining equipment, from basic hydraulic equipment to complex CNC machinery.
- Ability to work from schematics, technical documents, and troubleshooting guides.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Frequently required to lift and/or carry 10-30 lbs; some heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to eight hours per day in a manufacturing environment.
- Regularly required to talk, hear, see, handle, reach, distinguish color, and perform repetitive motion.
- Occasional travel required.
Pay
$27.00/hr - $34.00/hr, plus $2.00/hr shift differential.

Evenings (2:00pm - 10:30pm)
