Operations & Maintenance Manager
About the role
The Operations & Maintenance Manager is a key member of the District’s leadership team, responsible for overseeing the reliable operation, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of the District’s water treatment, water distribution, wastewater collection, and laboratory functions. This role plans, directs, and evaluates all operational activities while ensuring the District delivers safe, high-quality water and wastewater services to its customers.

- Oversee the reliable operation, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of the District’s water treatment, water distribution, wastewater collection, and laboratory functions.
- Plan, direct, and evaluate all operational activities while ensuring the District delivers safe, high-quality water and wastewater services to its customers.
- Lead and develop a team of supervisors, technical professionals, and field staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with District leadership, regulatory agencies, contractors, developers, and community stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor on operational matters and infrastructure needs.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in water and wastewater operations management, including extensive knowledge of groundwater systems, recycled water operations, water treatment and distribution, and wastewater collection systems.
- Experience overseeing SCADA systems and operational technologies is highly desirable, as is experience participating in or leading an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation or migration.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will bring at least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in water and wastewater operations management, including extensive knowledge of groundwater systems, recycled water operations, water treatment and distribution, and wastewater collection systems.
