Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary communication link between operations, maintenance, engineering and contractors.
- Working with the maintenance planners create, prioritize and manage work orders for both reactive and proactive maintenance requests.
- With the maintenance scheduler on prioritizing and scheduling maintenance activities that best align with operational needs and availability of equipment.
- Keep the operations team appraised of all maintenance activities and ensure the proper permitting and planning is in place prior to the work being performed.
- Help develop and implement the appropriate lock-out tag-out plans as required for maintenance activities.
- Facilitate pre-job safety meetings and verify completion of required permits (LOTO, confined space, hot work, etc.).
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) investigations for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Work with the Contractor Coordinator in scheduling contractor activities to minimize or eliminate any operational impacts.
- Identify trends and recommend improvements to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, cost control, and operational efficiency.
- Lead planning and coordination for planned outages, shutdowns and turnarounds.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, environmental regulations and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in mining, chemical processing, or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong organization, planning and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
- Analytical skills for data review and process improvement.
- Experience with ERP (SAP) systems and maintenance planning tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
