Operations Leadership Trainee
About the role
The Operations Leadership Trainee program at Texas Materials, a CRH company, is designed to develop future leaders in the diverse and dynamic CRH culture. Recruits start their journey with a comprehensive training period that typically lasts 24-36 months, during which they rotate through various departments and gain expertise in key areas including safety, quality control, finance, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Rotating through various departments to gain exposure to different aspects of operations
- Training in operations functions such as production activities, manufacturing processes, safety programs, business development, and customer service
- Assisting with special projects and proposals
- Assuming leadership roles upon successful completion of training
Requirements
- Ability to travel as needed for training
- Relocatable for advancement opportunities
- Leadership and/or managerial skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience within the construction, building materials, or related industries
Physical Demands
- Sit, talk, and hear
- Frequent sitting, climbing, using hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 30 lbs
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
Work Environment
- Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions
- Moving mechanical parts
- Outside weather conditions
- Extreme cold and/or heat
- Moderate to loud noise levels when out in the field
