Operations Leadership Trainee

About the role

Texas Materials, a CRH company, is seeking participants for its Operations Leadership Trainee program. The program provides a 24‑36 month training journey that rotates trainees through various operational areas—including aggregates, ready‑mix, asphalt production, logistics, and road construction—while developing skills in safety, quality control, finance, special projects, and proposals. Successful trainees advance to business‑unit assignments or leadership roles, with ongoing opportunities to shape their career path.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through multiple departments and receive training on operations functions such as production activities, manufacturing processes, safety and quality programs, business development, and customer service.
• Gain hands‑on experience with aggregates, ready‑mix, asphalt production, logistics, and road construction.
• Work under a mentor who supports growth and development.

Requirements

• Willingness to travel as needed for training purposes.
• Relocatable for advancement opportunities.
• Leadership and/or managerial skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Experience in construction, building materials, or a related industry.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.
• Frequently required to sit, climb, use hands to finger, handle or feel; stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above shoulders.
• Occasionally lift and/or move 10–30 lb.
• Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

Work Environment

• Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outside weather, and extreme cold or heat.
• Noise level usually moderate to loud when working in the field.
