About the role
The Operations Lead (OL) reports to the Assistant Store Manager and supports store processes and an active selling culture by ensuring all aspects are maintained to documented company standards designed to drive sales. The OL works on all operation processes, including opening, closing, training, and delegation of tasks, while demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance. Responsibilities require enthusiasm for vigorous lifting, carrying, moving around the warehouse-format store, and stocking.
Responsibilities
- Performs all store opening, closing, and Front-End processes, ensuring accurate and timely execution and operational readiness, troubleshooting, conditioning, and housekeeping while ensuring building, assets, and team member security.
- Coordinates with the Assistant Store Manager to maximize staffing effectiveness supporting traffic, sales, and customer experience, including compliance with company timekeeping policies, labor model standards, customer interaction standards, and business metrics.
- Plans and executes daily/weekly zone workload and assigns tasks to meet store, department, and sales goals, guest engagement, and other objectives, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
- Supports the store team in customer satisfaction, inventory control/shrink, safety, loss prevention, expense control, and customer experience to ensure effective and profitable store operations.
- Drives productivity through training, coaching, planning, monitoring, and appraising results.
- Leverages daily interactions and team huddles to communicate and train topics that support the customer experience.
- Participates in all freight processes for incoming freight and/or transitions, including processing, sorting, stocking products on shelves, down stocking, and end cap maintenance while maintaining a neat and organized store.
- Performs all other duties as assigned based on business needs.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must pass a background check.
- Open availability, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and team lift 100 lbs., as well as move merchandise routinely around the warehouse-format store.
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time, bend, climb, and reach as needed.
