About the role
The Operations Lead (OL) reports to the Assistant Store Manager and supports store processes and an active selling culture by ensuring that all aspects are maintained to documented company standards designed to drive sales. The OL works on all operation processes, including opening, closing, training, and delegation of tasks, while demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance. Responsibilities require enthusiasm for vigorous lifting, carrying, moving around the warehouse-format store, and stocking.
Responsibilities
- Performs all store opening, closing, and Front-End processes, ensuring accurate and timely execution and operational readiness, troubleshooting, conditioning, and housekeeping while ensuring building, assets, and team member security.
- Coordinates directly with the Assistant Store Manager to maximize staffing effectiveness that supports traffic, sales, and the customer experience, including compliance with Company timekeeping policies, meeting labor model standards, customer interaction standards, and business metrics.
- Participates in Task Management by planning/executing the daily/weekly zone workload and assigning tasks to deliver on store, department, sales goals, guest engagement, etc., ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and timely.
- Supports the store team in customer satisfaction, inventory control/shrink, safety, loss prevention, expense control, and customer experience to ensure effective and profitable store operations.
- Drives productivity by training, coaching, planning, monitoring, and appraising results.
- Leverages daily interactions and team huddles to communicate and teach/train topics that support the customer experience.
- Participates in all freight processes for incoming freight and/or transitions, including processing freight, sorting, and stocking products on shelves, down stocking, and end cap maintenance while maintaining a neat, clean, and organized store.
- Performs all other duties assigned based on business needs.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Background check will be completed.
- Communicates clearly and concisely with excellent verbal, written, and comprehension skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and team lift 100 lbs., as well as move merchandise around the warehouse-format store routinely.
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to bend, climb, and reach at times.
- Ability to work effectively independently and within a team.
