Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations for our third-party testing and inspection firm
- Manage day-to-day activities across multiple service lines, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery
- Schedule and coordinate technician assignments with appropriate training and certification requirements
- Verify accuracy of billing, review invoices, and support financial tracking for ongoing projects
- Lead staffing efforts including hiring, onboarding, performance management, employee health and safety oversight, and terminations when necessary
- Drive client satisfaction and retention through proactive relationship management, issue resolution, and consistent, high-value communication
- Aid in preparing proposals and cost estimates for future projects and new business opportunities
- Attend and contribute to monthly and quarterly budget meetings, supporting financial planning and operational forecasting
- Maintain laboratory accreditation and ensure all personnel certifications remain current and compliant with industry standards
- Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance to staff to support professional growth and maintain competency
- Monitor and manage inventory needs for testing and inspection equipment, ensuring availability and compliance with calibration requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, with 3 years in inspection and materials testing
- 3 years in Management
- Appropriate construction materials testing and inspection certifications (ACI, ICC, NICET, etc.)
- OSHA 10 certification required
- Proven experience in office administration, coordination, or operations support
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of safety practices, OSHA principles, and field compliance requirements
- Comfortable attending and leading team, safety, and client meetings
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- General computer skills such as: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- General understanding of construction
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between Idaho Falls, Pocatello, Wyoming, and surrounding areas
