About the role

This position manages day-to-day inventory control practices in Concord, NC. The role ensures accurate inventory records, conducts routine audits, and provides recommendations on inventory management strategies. Strong analytical skills and knowledge of inventory management processes are essential, along with the ability to drive continuous process improvement and best-in-class supplier management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out data analytics, research, and response for inventory variances.
  • Analyze inventory levels, aging, and obsolescence.
  • Prepare and report progress of quarterly and monthly inventory forecasts.
  • Manage excess and obsolescence inventory.
  • Scrutinize and analyze inventory issues; apply LEAN methods to recommend policy/process improvements for inventory tracking and accuracy.
  • Audit Inventory Management Systems, processes, and controls; ensure adherence to SOPs.
  • Maintain and develop performance metrics and reporting tools.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and address failures in corrective action response (CAR) programs to identify root causes.
  • Analyze data and generate monthly dashboards/reports to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Identify the root cause of all inventory adjustments.
  • Resolve errors or exceptions on sales/orders, inbound and outbound purchase orders, and transfers.
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory for the Concord location.
  • Audit Product/Item Masters to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify and implement process improvements as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent/relevant work experience.
  • Certified Materials Resource Planner (CMRP), Certified Purchasing Inventory Management (CPIM) certification, or APICS certification/coursework preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in inventory control, warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and data mining; ability to translate data into actionable conclusions for improvement.
  • Experience with process improvement or LEAN methods.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills (Macros, Filters, V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of Oracle NetSuite ERP and WMS; knowledge of High Jump WMS preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to establish working relationships across all stakeholders.
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills to identify issues and propose solutions.
  • Detail-oriented to ensure inventory accuracy with minimal adjustments.
