Overview
Operations Interns at The Boring Company will have responsibilities comparable to those of a regular employee, embodying the company's value of 'ownership'. They will work in a dynamic, goal-oriented environment focused on revolutionizing transportation.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting: Source candidates, coordinate interviews, and maintain efficient communication between candidates, recruiters, and stakeholders. Update records in recruiting systems and ensure accurate data tracking and reporting.
- Business/Project Development: Identify, track, and pursue project leads, prepare proposals and marketing materials.
- Purchasing: Analyze supplier and spend data, communicate with suppliers, purchase goods or services, and support project processes like creating and implementing new procedures.
- Accounting & Finance: Facilitate invoice processing, reconcile transactions daily, and manage the monthly close process. Support budget tracking and perform spend analysis.
- Operations: Communicate scheduling and coordination of active construction and facilities projects between management and team members.
- Corporate Affairs: Conduct research on business and legal issues, support deal-making from structuring the business model to negotiating contracts.
Qualifications
Preferred Skills And Experience:
- Completed or pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.
- Experience in engineering, logistics, construction, real estate, or business development.
- Experience supporting a team in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
- Ability to act urgently and communicate often and clearly.
- Superior organizational skills including excellent written and verbal communication.
- Initiative in resolving problems and an independent worker, with enthusiasm and an energetic approach to work.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and autonomously.
