About the Role

Ikigai Cases (ikigaicases.com) is seeking an Operations Intern to support our in-house operations during the spring season. This role is critical to ensuring customers receive their orders quickly and with the highest level of care. You will be hands-on with the core processes that keep our business running, from packing orders to managing inventory, while working directly alongside the founders. This is a unique opportunity to gain practical, real-world experience in e-commerce operations within a fast-growing startup environment.

Ikigai Cases is a family-owned e-commerce business selling premium metal pill cases. Founded in December 2021 by two brothers in Washington, DC, we have grown rapidly while staying true to our mission: create exceptional pill cases and deliver outstanding customer service. We have achieved multi–seven figure annual sales, fulfilled over 40,000 orders, and are now shipping thousands of pill cases each month. We keep fulfillment in-house to maintain our commitment to white-glove service for every customer.

Responsibilities

  • Pack and prepare customer orders for shipment
  • Track and manage inventory and supply levels
  • Support the founders with general operational tasks
  • Step in wherever needed to keep operations running smoothly

Requirements

  • Currently located in Washington, DC or the DMV area (required for in-person work at our warehouse on Fleet Drive, Alexandria, VA)
  • Able to commit to at least 10 hours per week when available, and at least 50 hours total between January 1, 2026 to May 31, 2026
  • College students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply

Who You Are

High-energy individual, looking for responsibility and direct access to founders in a high-growth company, expecting to work hard, and able to learn quickly, with a low ego and willingness to do whatever is needed to get the job done.

Why You Should Take This Role

This internship provides experience you cannot learn in a classroom. You will gain direct exposure to the daily operations of a rapidly scaling e-commerce business and learn what it takes to keep things running behind the scenes. Whether you continue in e-commerce or take your skills elsewhere, this will be a standout experience on your resume.

Pay

$20/hour

Location and Schedule

In-person, Washington, DC, able to commit to at least 10 hours per week when available, and at least 50 hours total between January 1, 2026 to May 31, 2026.
