Operations Finance Sr Specialist

About the role

As the Operations Finance Manager, you will support the objectives of the Finance and Accounting department while assisting operating departments with forecasting, budget, labor and inventory controls, analysis, auditing, and operational responsibilities for the units you are supporting.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly operational financial reports and assist in preparation of any client-facing financial reporting, including reconciliation of client invoices and statements, and any supporting documentation.
• Assist with preparation for annual budget.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports to monitor performance areas such as labor, direct cost, revenue, expenses, and profit by area of responsibility.
• Collaborate with managers and directors to identify and drive key levers to improve margins.
• Train and motivate staff in financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with operations support as needed.
• Work with teams on budget, cost control, and forecasting.
• Assist in oversight of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Assist in internal annual audits for site locations.

Requirements

• 3–5 years’ experience in the service industry combined with a system-driven approach to credit control.
• Strong computer skills, including specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to work well autonomously.
• Relevant financial experience impacting key P&L and balance sheet lines, with the ability to be a business partner to operations.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively with business partners, key employees, senior leadership, and client groups.
• Self-starter who can quickly learn through online tools and peers.
• Presentation skills and ability to interact at any level of the organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
