Job Responsibilities
- Partner with operations, RD&I, quality, maintenance, and supply chain functions to drive improvements within the value-stream
- Support of 100 Series fabrication and assembly operations focused on improving Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost
- Work closely with production supervisors, team leads, and production employees to perform problem solving and root cause analysis
- Lead continuous improvement projects aligned to lean manufacturing principles
- Lead cost reductions and yield improvements with delivery partners
- Utilize sound project management tools for complex projects and key initiatives
- Improve equipment capability and reliability
- Identify opportunities for error proofing and implement solutions
- Respond to day to day production needs such as equipment troubleshooting and quality concerns
- Manage the design, procurement, and startup of capital equipment projects
- Develop operator balance charts, machine balance charts, and staffing playbooks for assembly work cells
- Partner with ongoing product development team to implement product design changes and line extensions
- Be highly visible within the value stream to create a safe environment for collaboration and participation
- Promote a hands on, high involvement approach to problem solving
Qualifications
- 4 year degree in Engineering or Technology
- Open to varying levels of experience
- Equipment procurement experience
- Strong project management skills
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, SPC and process capability
- Positive attitude with a desire to build relationships and serve both our internal and external customers
- Strong, proactive communicator, effective both 1:1 and in groups
