Responsibilities
- Take complete ownership of one or more assigned production-critical subsystems, such as the belt/conveyor system, grout system, mining trucks, or other machine and support equipment.
- Keep assigned subsystems reliable, maintainable, and available for production through field troubleshooting, maintenance support, inspections, and performance monitoring.
- Identify failure modes, recurring issues, maintenance needs, and improvement opportunities; develop and implement solutions that reduce downtime and improve operational performance.
- Owning subsystem documentation, including procedures, inspection standards, maintenance plans, issue reports, performance tracking, and technical updates.
- Cookordination with field teams, maintenance, engineering, project management, supply chain, vendors, and suppliers to resolve issues, manage spares and consumables, and support system upgrades.
- Ensure subsystem work is executed safely and in compliance with applicable site, construction, and tunneling safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, mechatronics, production engineering, manufacturing, logistics, integration engineering, project management, or a related field.
- Experience in field operations, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, mining, tunneling, logistics, or another fast-paced operations environment.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills with hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, controls, robotic, or heavy equipment systems.
- Able to analyze operational data, identify trends, prioritize issues, and drive practical improvements in a production environment.
- Willingness to work long hours in the field, including significant time in the tunnel, with strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
